Haven at Lagos Tech Fest 2026

Lagos Tech Fest 2026 was one of those days you know matters while it is still happening. I went alone, no team, no booth, no speaking slot. Just me, the platform, and a full day of showing up in one of the most important rooms in African tech. Here is what that day looked like.

The Room Said Everything

Walking into Lagos Tech Fest, the atmosphere was immediately clear. The scale and quality of the speakers and brands present was the first thing that hit you. The energy and buzz in the room was the second. And the mix of established companies and early stage startups standing next to each other, talking as equals, was the third. That combination, big names and builders in the same space, is exactly the kind of environment where real things happen. Haven belongs in rooms like that, and being there confirmed it.

Why I Went

I did not go to Lagos Tech Fest to be seen. I went to learn, to connect, and to put Haven in front of people who needed to see it. One day is not a lot of time, but one focused day in the right room is worth more than a week of sitting behind a screen. I came with the intention of making every conversation count, and that is exactly what I did.

The Brands in the Room

Lagos Tech Fest brought together some of the most significant names in African and global tech. Over the course of the day I had real conversations with people from Odoo, Monica Technologies, Microsoft, Google, Sparkle, Paga, Luno, Bluechip, BMoni, Accrue, Breega, DigitA, Norrsken22, and many more. Seeing Microsoft and Google in the same room as early stage African startups was a statement in itself. The walls between the established and the emerging are coming down, and Lagos Tech Fest is one of the places where that is most visible.

The Conversations That Stood Out

Every conversation at Lagos Tech Fest was different, and a few stood out for different reasons. Some people immediately understood what Haven was trying to do without needing much explanation. The moment they saw the platform they got it. Others pushed back with tough questions, the kind that make you sharper and more articulate about what you are building and why. And some wanted to explore collaboration or partnership on the spot, which is the kind of response that tells you the timing is right. All of those conversations mattered. All of them moved Haven forward in some way.

Demoing Haven at Lagos Tech Fest

I showed Haven to people throughout the day. Not a rehearsed pitch, just the real platform, walking people through what it does, why it exists the way it does, and where it is going. The reaction was consistently positive and excited. People leaned in. They asked questions that went deeper than surface level. They wanted to understand Haven, not just look at it. That kind of engagement does not happen with a product that does not resonate. It happens when something is genuinely solving a problem people recognize. We captured the day on camera, photos and videos from the floor, the sessions, the networking moments in between. Those are a record of Haven showing up.

What The Sessions Taught Me

Lagos Tech Fest was not just a networking event. The sessions and talks added real substance to the day. Three things came through consistently across everything I heard. Technology adoption across Africa is accelerating faster than most people outside the continent realize. Collaboration between African companies is becoming the defining move of this era, the era of building in isolation is ending. And the funding landscape for African startups is shifting, new capital is becoming available and the criteria for what gets backed is changing. All three of those things are directly relevant to Haven. We left those sessions with more clarity, not less.

What Happened After

Multiple people followed up after Lagos Tech Fest. That matters more than anything else I can say about the day. When someone follows up after an event like that, surrounded by hundreds of other companies and conversations, it means the conversation was real. It means Haven landed. We are grateful for every follow up and we are taking each one seriously. The relationships that start at events like Lagos Tech Fest are the ones that shape what comes next.

A platform should do more than teach you something. It should get you somewhere.

The Biggest Takeaway

Looking back at the day, the biggest takeaway was everything at once. Lagos Tech Fest confirmed that Haven is solving a real problem. It showed me exactly where Haven fits in the African tech story. And it gave me relationships that will matter long term. One day. One room. Everything it needed to be.

We Are Not Stopping

I left Lagos Tech Fest energized and motivated. Not just because of the conversations or the connections or the sessions, but because of what all of it together confirmed. The funding landscape is shifting. Collaboration is the next move. Adoption is accelerating. And Haven is ready for every part of what comes next. Lagos Tech Fest was one day in a much longer journey. We are showing up, and we are not stopping.
