Accessibility Statement Haven International Limited
Effective date: August 1, 2026 · Last updated: August 1, 2026 · Version 1.0
Haven International Limited ("Haven") is committed to making its platform accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. This Accessibility Statement explains Haven's current accessibility status, what we are doing to improve accessibility, and how to contact us if you encounter any issues.
1. Our Commitment
Haven believes that everyone deserves equal access to learning, working, and growing opportunities. We are committed to building a platform that is accessible to all users, regardless of ability, disability, age, or the technology they use to access it.
Haven aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the internationally recognised standard for web accessibility. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
2. Conformance Status
Haven is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the platform do not fully meet the accessibility standard. We are actively working to address known gaps.
Haven's platform was built using the Bexon theme on Laravel with Blade templates. Some accessibility limitations exist within the underlying theme components that we are progressively addressing.
3. What We Have Done
Haven has taken the following steps to improve accessibility across the platform:
- Added
aria-hidden="true"to all decorative icons throughout the platform so screen readers skip them - Added
aria-labelattributes to all social media icon links so screen readers can identify their destinations - Added
aria-current="page"to active breadcrumb links so screen readers identify the current page - Used semantic HTML heading hierarchy (h1 through h4) consistently across all pages
- Ensured all images have meaningful
alttext or emptyalt=""for purely decorative images - Ensured all form inputs have associated labels
- Used sufficient colour contrast ratios for text throughout the platform
- Made the platform navigable by keyboard
- Added
lang="en"to the HTML element on all pages - Ensured all tables have captions and appropriate header cells
4. Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some areas of Haven's platform have known accessibility limitations:
- Video content: Not all video course content has closed captions or audio descriptions. We are working with instructors to improve this.
- Third-party widgets: The JivoSite live chat widget is provided by a third party and may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA requirements. We are monitoring this and will raise it with JivoSite.
- Complex animations: Some GSAP animations on the platform may cause issues for users with vestibular disorders. We are working to add a reduced motion option.
- Older content: Some blog posts and course materials created before our accessibility improvements may not fully meet current standards.
If you encounter any accessibility barrier not listed here, please report it using the contact details in Section 7.
5. What We Are Working On
Haven is actively working to improve accessibility across the platform. Our current accessibility priorities include:
- Adding a reduced motion setting for users with vestibular disorders
- Improving keyboard focus indicators across all interactive elements
- Working with instructors to encourage closed captions on all video courses
- Conducting a full WCAG 2.1 Level AA audit of the platform
- Improving skip navigation links for keyboard and screen reader users
- Enhancing the accessibility of all form validation messages
Haven reviews and updates this Accessibility Statement whenever significant changes are made to the platform or its accessibility features.
