1. Overview

This policy explains how Haven and instructors share rights to course content published on Haven's Academy. It applies to all instructors who have published or are publishing courses on Haven.

2. Instructor Ownership

Instructors retain full ownership of the course content they create and upload to Haven. Haven does not acquire ownership of instructor-created content under any circumstances. Instructors may continue to use, sell, or publish their content elsewhere.

3. Licence Granted to Haven

By publishing a course on Haven, the instructor grants Haven a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to:

• Host and store the course content on Haven's servers
• Display and stream the course content to enrolled students
• Use short clips or previews of the course (not full content) in Haven's marketing materials, social media, and advertisements
• Translate or subtitle the course content where necessary to serve Haven's global user base

This licence is non-exclusive, meaning the instructor retains full rights and can use the content elsewhere. Haven cannot sell, transfer, or sublicense instructor content to third parties without written permission.

4. Marketing Use of Course Content

Haven may use short clips or previews of instructor courses for marketing purposes. "Short clips" means excerpts of no more than 2 minutes in length that give potential students a taste of the course without reproducing substantial portions of the content. Haven will not use full lessons or complete course modules in marketing materials without the instructor's written permission.

5. Course Continuation After Instructor Departure

If an instructor leaves Haven, their published courses remain on the platform and continue to be sold to new students. Haven continues to pay the instructor their agreed revenue share on all future sales. Instructors who wish to remove their courses upon departure must give 90 days written notice to allow enrolled students to complete their courses.

6. Student Rights to Course Content

Students who enrol in a course receive a personal, non-transferable licence to access and watch the course content for educational purposes only. Students may not share, reproduce, distribute, or resell course content in any form.
